After weeks of online action, live Day 1s and a live Day 2, KKLIVE New Brunswick ended in a four-way deal!
After 2024 KKPoker Canada's Best champion Dylan Ellis exited in 5th place for CAD$7,800, the final four players agreed to an ICM deal.
Rod Ward (CAD$16,000), Steve Keith (CAD$16,200), Trent Hooper (CAD$16,425) and Jason Chan (CAD$17,000) all secured massive paydays from their CAD$350 buy-in.
KKLIVE New Brunswick achieved a total of 475 entries through online and live Day 1s, creating a CAD$142,500 prize pool.
36 players returned for Day 2 on Sunday 13 April at St Mary's Entertainment Centre, all guaranteed a CAD$850 minimum prize.
Cashing in 34th was Sharath Maddur, who recently won his KKPoker Vegas Dream package online worth $12,000 and will head to Las Vegas in July as part of the KK Elite Team!
For Trent Hooper, it was the second time he had achieved a KKLIVE runner-up finish after claiming silver at KKLIVE Montreal last year.
FINAL TABLE ACTION
Jim Sullivan was eliminated in 9th place after a classic flip. His pocket eights up against Trent Hooper's A-K, with a King appearing on the flop.
Wayne Seely took 8th place running A-8 into a dominating hand.
Grant Donovan looked down at a strong hand in Q-Q but ran into a cooler against Trent's A-A. There was no miracle on the board as Grant exited in 7th place.
Trent was in action once again with Ghislaine Johnson all in. Trent held T-T and Ghislaine needed to hit holding A-K, but the board ran out in Trent's favor, and sent Ghislaine to the rail in 6th place.
Canada's Best champion Dylan Ellis held T-9 on a K-K-Q-J board, but Jason Chan had turned a full house to take the pot, and Dylan departed with $7,800 in 5th place.
At this point, the remaining four players agreed to an ICM deal. Steve Keith (4th), Rod Ward (3rd), Trent Hopper (2nd), and Jason Chan (1st).
