KKPoker ambassador Paul Carr has continued his exciting adventures traveling throughout the UK and Ireland in recent months.

Paul has represented KKPoker for the past year in some of the most exciting poker events and has encountered hard-fought battles, near-misses, and epic successes!

In his final recap blog, before Paul departs his ambassador role to pursue new opportunities, we discuss his recent achievements and wish him all the best in the future.

KILLARNEY POKER FESTIVAL

Paul’s recent travels started with the Killarney Poker Festival, a premier event in Irish live poker. Competing in the €700 Main Event, Paul cashed out in 30th place for €3,700 in a field of 800+ players, battling against renowned competitors like Marc MacDonnell and Conor O’Driscoll.

But his time at the Killarney Poker Festival didn’t stop there; Paul also had two impressive cash finishes in side events, including a 3rd place in the €1K One Dayer for €9,610.

MORE CASH FINISHES ACROSS IRELAND

Paul has also seen success in the Donegal Poker Cup, where he placed 26th in the €300 Main Event for €800. However, the highlight was seeing his friend Con Collins return to the game and win the event for €17,500. 

At the Siege of Clonmel Festival, hosted by the Irish Poker Tour, Paul experienced a rare dry spell with no cash finishes but celebrated the success of Tommy Geleziunas, who took first place in both the PLO 6-Max and the Main Event, winning €2,500 and €20,000. 

INTERNATIONAL POKER SUCCESS

The London Poker Festival was another major stop for Paul as a KKPoker ambassador. Competing in the £1K One Dayer, he finished second, bringing home £5,750, which more than covered his trip. 

Although Paul was eliminated on the bubble in the Main Event, he appreciated the high-stakes competition at the festival hosted at the Aspers Casino Stratford. 

VICTORY AT THE KKPOKER AUTUMN SERIES

One of Paul’s proudest recent moments came in the very first KKPoker Autumn Series held at the Dublin Poker Club.

KKPoker chose Ireland as the event’s first destination to help continue to build on the Irish poker community and offer even more live poker opportunities. 

Not only did Paul attend to represent KKPoker and help bring together the Irish poker community, but he also showed once again why he is considered one of the best players in the nation by taking it down!

Paul earned a €7,500 prize after a deal with Joe O’Neill, Mark Doyle, and Luke Bryne, who all received €6,000 for their deep run.

Paul was presented with a winner’s trophy by friend and KKPoker consultant Tia Nguyen.

“It was fantastic to win the first major KKPoker event in Ireland at the wonderful Dublin Poker Club. I hadn’t played at the venue before, but what a super venue it is.” said Paul.

“My good friend Tia presented me with a lovely trophy after the victory. Everyone knows how much I love a trophy, so as you can imagine, I was well chuffed to receive this one.”
